President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to the Russian President Vladimir Putin on registration of the world's first vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19.
“This event confirms the high potential and authority of Russian science, as well as the leading role of Russia in the fight against this global threat, he said, expressing gratitude for the continued support to Kazakhstan in this difficult time, including for humanitarian aid and doctors who made a significant contribution to improving the sanitary and epidemiological situation in our country,: the message read.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in this area. "In the second half of August, a government delegation will leave for Moscow to discuss the purchase of the Russian vaccine," the President informed.
