Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone talk with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Presidents discussed the state and prospects of further development of bilateral relations based on strong centuries-old friendship and good-neighborliness, the principles of trust and strategic partnership.
They noted with satisfaction the high level of interaction and active exchanges at the level of the governments in order to quickly overcome the consequences of the coronavirus spread.
Among the topics focused on was promoting joint projects aimed at boosting trade, cooperation at the level of business and regions, as well as culture-humanitarian ties.
Views were exchanged on the development of events in the region. The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expressed their hope for stabilization in Kyrgyzstan. Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan proceeds from the exceptional importance of strengthening allied relations and strategic partnership with brotherly Kyrgyzstan.
