Six parties admitted to parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan

"Six political parties were registered in Kazakhstan in November 2020: the Nur Otan party, the Ak Zhol democratic party of Kazakhstan, the Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan, the Auyl People's Democratic Patriotic Party, the Birlik political party and the National Social Democratic Party," said Vice Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Natalya Pan at a meeting of the CEC.

According to her, the Ministry of Justice in relation to political parties performs the function of a registration body.

"The above political parties are active. There is no information on reorganization or liquidation of the above parties. All parties have their own structural divisions," the vice minister added.

Asylbek Smagulov, a member of the Central Election Commission, said that all six parties were admitted to the elections for Parliament and local councils.

Both elections will be held on January 10, 2021.
