Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev.
The Head of State was informed about the main results of the legislative activity of the Upper Chamber this year.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about the adoption of a number of laws aimed at ensuring the implementation of the issues voiced by the President in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan. In particular, a new "Environmental Code", laws "On technical regulation", "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on implementation of certain provisions of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action" were adopted. According to Maulen Ashimbaev, all these laws are aimed at the socio-economic development of the country and improvement of the quality of life of the population.
The President noted that the programs of political modernization and economic development of the country will be continued in the future, and large-scale work will also be carried out in other sectors. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Senate to legislatively ensure the implementation of these directions.
