President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas.
The Secretary General informed the President about the state and development prospects of the CSTO. A wide range of issues was considered in the key areas of activity of this international organization.
Stanislav Zas also reported on the work carried out by the CSTO Secretariat to implement the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan on establishment of the institution of the Special Representative of the CSTO Secretary General on peacekeeping issues.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a number of proposals on the prospects for development of the Organization, noting the readiness of the Kazakh side to further strengthen political cooperation within the CSTO and expand its potential.
