The head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Dushanbe on a two-day official visit. This is the first foreign visit of the President of Kazakhstan in 2021.
"At the international airport in Dushanbe, the Head of State was met by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and other officials. Tomorrow morning, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will negotiate with President Emomali Rahmon in a narrow and expanded format, following which a number of bilateral documents are expected to be adopted. The leaders of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan will also hold a joint briefing for the media," - said the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Uali on Facebook.
In addition, he noted that the program of the President's visit includes participation in the ceremony of laying wreaths at the Ismoil Somoni monument and meetings with the Chairman of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan.
